The history of the CNV
With more than 335,000 members, the CNV is one of the biggest trade unions in the Netherlands. The Christian National Trade Union Confederation (Christelijk Nationaal Vakverbond) has been in existence for more than 100 years now. The CNV trade union was founded in 1909.
The mission of the CNV
The CNV wants to offer as many equal opportunities as possible to everyone in society. In addition, the CNV attaches great importance to sustainability. The CNV aims to provide tailor-made services, strikes and appealing products for their members. Therefore, members of the CNV receive various discounts. In order to achieve this, the CNV maintains a permanent dialogue with the government, international organisations, and its members.
