What do Artsen Zonder Grenzen do?
Artsen Zonder Grenzen are the Dutch Doctors Without Borders and they work day and night to help people in crisis situations. These situations include offering aid in conflict areas, after a natural disaster or in the case of a contagious disease outbreak. Their posts can be found in refugee camps or impoverished and remote areas. In short, Artsen Zonder Grenzen, offer medical aid in places where it is most needed. Often these places are the most dangerous places in the world, like warzones or unstable places due to the high possibility of natural disasters. Their activities comprise of emergency surgery, handing out supplies, combatting outbreaks and epidemics, vaccination programs, mother and child care and other basic medical care.

Artsen Zonder Grenzen can be found worldwide. They are mostly stationed in war zones in Africa and the Middle East. Artsen Zonder Grenzen offers three membership options:

Artsen Zonder Grenzen Amsterdam
The Artsen Zonder Grenzen head office is situated in Amsterdam. The first branch was erected in 1971 in France. Soon Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain and Luxemburg followed suit. Since then many other countries have opened their own branches too. Internationally Artsen Zonder Grenzen are known as Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and 24 organisations operate worldwide.
